Brief History of Stained-Glass Windows
Stained Glass windows have been around since the 12th century where glass blowers discovered how to apply minerals and oxides to create colors in the glass. In the 1800’s when colored and stained-glass works began finding their way beyond churches & monastic buildings, it was thanks to Tiffany and Lafarge who began exploring architecture beyond the church. In the 1900’s, Frank Lloyd Wright brought the stained-glass Art form and his contemporary style of architecture and interior design work in his Prairie School movement and styles of designs into the world we see today.
Today, you see traditional custom-made glass mosaic & stained-glass windows alongside modern styles for cabinets, shower and slider doors, custom mirrors, privacy screens and other areas of a home, office, business or wherever you want to add beauty, color and or character.
